Saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) or "salties" are the largest reptiles on earth. Maximo is just over 15 feet long.

Alligator Farm, St. Augustine, Florida.

I took this through glass (without flash), so it has a few odd reflections. Oh well!

Thank you so much! I thought I saw that Maximo is ~50 years old, but I just checked the St. Augustine Alligator Farm website and they said he grew he grew 15 feet in 30 years, and he's 15' 9" now, so... I think I made that up. :)

Wow, now that is an impressive dinosaur. I mean just, wow, look at those teeth! I love how you composed the shot and captured the reflection in the water. Great photo of an incredible animal.

Thanks! He was getting ready to eat. It was through glass and I don't have a tripod, so I have no idea how it worked out. A happy accident! :aww:
